Wheelchair cricket: Two players from Chhattisgarh have been selected in Indian team for Dubai matches against Pakistan

Raipur: Two players from Chhattisgarh have been selected for the Bilateral series between India and Pakistan from September 16 to 21 held at Dubai. Players will be take part under the wheelchair cricket team of India.
Players Sunil Rao and Poshan Kumar Dhruv has been selected for the tournament. Indian team will play three matches with Pakistan Physically Challenged Cricket team on September 17,18 and 20 at Dubai. Bothe have been selected in the 14 member squad of Indian team.
Cricketer Sunil Rao Informed “we have started the preparation of this big event. Previously in the month of May we have clinched the title of International Wheelchair Series which was being held at Bangladesh. Now we got another opportunity to prove our sports talent internationally. I have selected by wheelchair cricket team of India as all-rounder besides Poshan Dhruv has been selected for his all -rounder Bating skills”.
Disabled cricketer   Sunil Rao bagged the best fielder award in the previous cricket tournament at Bangladesh. That final match Indian disabled team scored well and due to Sunil Rao’s brilliant fielding Indian team defeated Bangladesh by 2-0 and clinched the winning trophy.
“Wheelchair Cricket India was founded by international para-athlete and national awardee Pradeep Raj in 2011. It gives disabled people wings to fly because being sitting in wheelchair people like me suffers from social anxiety and thought society underestimate as a wheelchair user. Cricket helped me to get rid of those inhibitions and become a different person who can play his favourite sports too. In this tournament I am confident that we will win this championship also” cricketer Sunil Rao Added.
