484 out of 501 complaints of breach of MCC received through cVigil app has been resolved

Raipur: The complaints received from the citizens across the poll-bound state regarding breach of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) through cvigil app of the Election Commission of India (ECI) are being resolved quickly by the state election commission. More than 96 percent of the complaints received has been resolved so far by the department officials.
A department official said that most of the complaints received are for unauthorized installation of banners and posters in the area. Besides, other cases of breach of MCC have also been filed by the citizens including unauthorized transportation of publicity material.
As many as 501 complaints have been filed by the citizens since the launch of the app in the poll-bound state of which 484 has been resolved and the proceedings on 17 are still going on, said the official.
The official informed that about 196 complaints from state capital have been received through the app out of which 170 are already resolved while investigations are going on rest. As many as 62 complaints were received from Durg which are resolved completely. Apart from this, 22 out of 24 complaints have been resolved in Kondagaon.
The least number of complaints (one) has been received from Bijapur district which has been resolved already. Following this, only two complaints have been received from Dantewada district which is also resolved.
