Chhattisgarh Times Raipur: In a heart-wrenching incident happened on Monday, a five-year-old girl, daughter of a garbage man was raped by a 35-year-old man in Rajnandgaon district. The accused was detained by the police while the minor girl was admitted to the hospital.
According to information, the minor girl stayed with her family in front of the flyover near Gayatri Nagar in Kotwali police station area. The incident happened around 4:30 in the morning when the girl’s parents left home for picking garbage.
After which, the accused Shankarpur resident Om Prakash Sahu allegedly attempted to rape the minor girl by taking her away from the home. Sahu tried to escape the incident spot when he was found by the nearby people. However, the locals chased him and informed about the incident to the police and parents of the victim.
A police team reached the incident spot and took the alleged Om Prakash in their custody. The accused was taken before the court, following which he was put behind the bars. The minor girl was admitted to the hospital after the incident. As per the doctors due to excessive bleeding, the condition of the child is still critical.
