Health Minister inaugurates Rural Health Training Centre in Kurud

Dhamtari: State first Rural Health Training Centre was inaugurated by Health and Family Welfare Minister Ajay Chandrakar in Kurud of Dhamtari district on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural event, Ajay Chandrakar said MOU with AIIMS will result in the betterment and an increase in health facilities in the area. AIIMS is well known for its high-quality medical facilities across the country.
He said that it is a privilege for Kurud region that MOU has signed with one of the renowned institutes of the country and this will lead to new innovations in the health services here. 
Speaking about the purpose of MOU with AIIMS, he said that one such center is already established by AIIMS in Vallabhgarh of Delhi. Similarly, the established of such centre here will facilitate the development of health services. Besides, it will provide an aid in making the region to become self-reliant in the health sector in the future.
Chandrakar informed that currently, the institute is conducting research on the causes and diagnosis of regional disease sickling in the state. He also expressed his aim to convert the Civil Hospital in Kurud into a 100-bed hospital and open a nursing college here in future.
AIIMS Raipur Director Dr. Nitin Nagarkar said that the training center is the result of positive thinking and foresight of Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar. AIIMS will provide every possible contribution to increasing the health facilities for the benefit of people in the region.
The centre has been developed under a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the state Health and Family Welfare Department and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The aim of establishing the centre is to increase health facilities and providing a high level of primary health care services in the area.
Former Chairman of Nagar Panchayat Kurud Niranjan Sinha, Senior Advocate of Kurud L.P. Goswami, AIIMS Raipur Director Dr. Nitin Nagarkar along with Dr. Meenakshi and many other administrative officers from the institute and officials from health department were present on the occasion.
