CHHATTISGARH TIMES. Amidst a human sea and seeking blessings from “Maa Danteshwari” Narendra Modi called upon all Bhartiya Janta Party contenders from Bastar region and urged the people to come out in numbers without fearing the reckless bloodbath maoists in the region are spreading to derail the speedy development of Chhattisgarh. His speech from the Lal Bagh arena saw that development in all sectors is the key to uplift the tribals of Bastar, he emphasised that previous governments at the centre used the tribals as vote bank with middlemen stashing away huge funds meant for Bastar. He said that opposition leaders who led a life of luxury never had the vision which the present government at centre and state has as they have risen from a humble background with their feet still grounded. The state government and the central government’s shoulder to shoulder measures has seen a web of road and railway lines throughout the state. He was of the view that divisive politics was not the order of the day as is done by Congress but development for all is what people expects. He tore apart the congress for calling the maoists as “revolutionary ” and questioned the gathering for the same. People applauded thunderously for every line he spoke and he was all praise for Raman Singh, commending his zeal for development to the last village of Bopalpatnam.
He said that he lived to realise the dream of Atal Bihari Vajpayee whose heart went out for the tribals of Bastar and created Chhattisgarh, because undivided Madhya Pradesh under Congress rule meant poverty, hunger and illiteracy for the region.
He said that URBAN MAOIST lives a lavish life making big talk but actually feels no pain for the tribals and he vehemently condemned the killing of innocent civilian including a Doordarshan cameraman who was killed by the naxalites. He said that power does not come from bullets and bombs but development is the only link to succeed.
His emphasis on Bamboo cultivation as a major source of sustenance for the tribes was done by the BJP, and he reiterated that the young state of 18 years will get all round support from the Centre even reminding people of the “double engine” combination of state and centre .
He went on to say that incessant lies from the Congress party cannot befool the people anymore and he even predicted their doom in the near future. His words were meaningful enough as he always held people and democracy as supreme and he never took this political address to a personal level against anybody.
Seeing the confident Prime Minister speaking in front of such a huge gathering will be something to remember as he is a force to reckon with, while ending his speech his signatory words of “BHARAT MATA KI JAI” earned him more applause and urged the people to vote so that the lotus can bloom and bask in it’s glory.
