Chhattisgarh Times Raipur: The satta bazaar (speculation market) is taking a keen interest in speculating the results of state assembly elections. As the polling in the last phase of assembly elections ended today, the satta bazaar is shortening the odds of BJP winning for the fourth time in Chhattisgarh.
Indications are that the BJP (Raman) government will be formed in the state for the fourth time. The returns on Congress are higher than that of BJP. Bookies says that if one person puts Rs 10,000 cash betting on BJP’s victory and if party comes to power, the syndicate would return Rs 11,000. While, if one puts Rs 4,400 on Congress’s victory, the syndicate would return Rs 10,000.
On one hand, during the second and last phase of polling in Chhattisgarh, the educated and job professionals were speaking about same old anti-incumbency talks. On the other hand, the speculation market is coming up with a bit more and giving a different picture.
It is notable that every small leader from Congress is claiming to form the government with at least 50 seats. At the same time, the claims of winning the seat above 50 are also being done on behalf of the BJP. However, there is a hunch in the new regional party (Janata Congress Chhattisgarh) in fray led by former Cheif Minister Ajit Jogi, that they will form government this time by bagging maximum seats.
