CM instructs the district collectors to buy paddy at Rs 2500 per quintal
Chhattisgarh Times Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has instructed the district collectors to buy paddy of farmers at the rate of Rs 2500 per quintal.
Addressing a video conferencing on Wednesday evening Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel gave instructions to all the District Collectors and Superintendent of Police of all 27 districts across the state. Besides,
it was also decided that the government will pay the remaining balance to the farmers separately who have sold their paddy before the implementation of this scheme.
Baghel asked the Superintendent of Police of all the districts to keep a strict vigil over the boundaries of the border districts of the state and immediately seize the vehicles along with the paddy coming from the other states.
He expressed his happiness after Tehsildar of Balrampur district informed that as many as three vehicles carrying illegal paddy were seized from the district.
Cabinet ministers including TS Singh Deo and Tamradhwaj Sahu were also present at the video conferencing. Both of them discussed the food processing industries with the district collectors.
After which Baghel directed to make an action plan for the establishment of agro-based industries.
