CM congratulates Meghraj Sahu for joining Indian Army as a lieutenant commissioned officer

Chhattisgarh Times Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel congratulated Meghraj Sahu for his outstanding achievement of joining Indian Army as a lieutenant commissioned officer.
Baghel gave wishes and blessing for his bright future. Baghel said that he has glorified the name of Chhattisgarh and his success is inspiring for the youth across the state.
Born to a very normal middle-class family, Meghraj Sahu got inspiration to join defense from his father Ramesh Kumar Sahu who has been serving as the Subedar Major in the Indian Army since 1988.
With his hard work and dedication, Sahu got selected in the Guwahati Sainik School of Assam in the year 2006—which is among the best Sainik schools of the country.
He completed his graduation from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), one of the prestigious institutions of the country.
He cleared the Union Public Service Commission’s 2016 examination in his first attempt and joined the Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun for his training.
Out of more than five lakh candidates, Sahu achieved 60th rank in the 2016 Batch Examination of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). He was the only youth from the state to clear the exam in 2016.
After completion of his training successfully in the academy on December 8, Sahu was honored with a commission letter by President Ramnath Kovind and he has been appointed as Lieutenant Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army.
