Chhattisgarh Times Raipur: Chhattisgarh High Court has dismissed a petition seeking probe into properties owned by former Panchayat and Rural Development Minister and sitting MLA of Kurud Ajay Chandrakar. The petitioners had alleged that the minister has a property portfolio worth more than his income.
In this case, the intervener senior advocate Pratik Sharma submitted before the High Court that the petitioners have filed this petition on the similar grounds on which they had filed a petition earlier which was dismissed by the High Court. Therefore this petition deserved to be set aside.
Agreeing with the arguments of advocate Pratik Sharma, the High Court dismissed the petition filed against sitting BJP legislator from Kurud constituency.
According to information, two petitioners including Manjeet Kaur Bal and Krishna Kumar Sahu filed a petition before the High Court alleging that Ajay Chandrakar has more property portfolio than his income and demanded a probe into his owned properties.
They had filed the petition in High Court challenging the order passed by the trial court. The High Court dismissed the case on technical grounds. After which, the two petitioners went to the Supreme Court from where they were advised to go to the lower court only.
