Chhattisgarh Times Raipur: Chhattisgarh Governor Anandiben Patel on Thursday administered oath of office as Protem Speaker to Senior Congress MLA Rampukar Singh.
The swearing-in ceremony of veteran Congress leader Rampukar Singh as Protem Speaker was held at an event in Raj Bhawan in the state capital.
79-years-old Rampukar Singh is the oldest MLA in the newly elected state Assembly. Singh is representing the Pathalgaon seat in Chhattisgarh for the eighth time.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel along with his cabinet ministers including Home and Public Works Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Ravindra Choubey, and other top officials were present on the occasion.
