Police arrested five suspected activists involved in Naxal-attack in Dantewada

Raipur: Police have arrested five suspected activists involved in Maoist ambush happened on Tuesday in Dantewada district in which one Doordarshan Cameraman and two cops were killed on the spot while one constable died on Wednesday in the hospital during treatment.
ASP Naxal operations GN Baghel said that the police team has taken five activists in custody belonging to Malangir Area Committee of Maoists and are members of 34 Naxalite Platoon. The suspected activists which are detained include committee leader Gundadhur, Chaitu alias Saitu, Somadu, Vinod, and Deva.
Amid the arrest of five activists, the Naxalites have again started writing anti-government slogans on the walls with red colour in Neelavaya village of Dantewada district and surrounding areas to boycott upcoming assembly elections. A day after the Naxal attack, the colourful walls of the area was ruined by the Maoists with their red coloured anti-government slogans. Earlier, the state election commission teams had erased such messages on the walls painted by the different Maoists communities.
