CM inaugurates Digvijay Stadium in Rajnandgaon

Rajnandgaon: Chief Minister Raman Singh inaugurated Digvijay Stadium in Rajnandgaon district on Thursday evening.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural event Chief Minister Raman Singh announced the construction of the athletic track in the stadium. He said that the construction of athletic track will create a good atmosphere for athletics here.
Singh said that when I performed bhoomipujan of the stadium I never imagined that it would turn out to be developed so beautiful. He praised the efforts of PWD Minister Rajesh Munat and the department officials for building such a great stadium.
PWD Minister Rajesh Munat said that this grand stadium has been built with continuous hard work by the laborers in 21 months. A day before the inauguration, more than seven hundred families gathered in the stadium creating an atmosphere of celebration here. The people showed a lot of enthusiasm by posting their selfies on social media.
The stadium is built at a cost of Rs 54 crore, the stadium will facilitate to build a much better atmosphere for games here.
On the occasion delegates from Shivganga Maha-Arti Samiti presented the memento to Chief Minister Raman Singh and Member of Parliament from Rajnandgaon Abhishek Singh. The Samiti has started a campaign named “Shivganga Maha-Arti” to gather the people for the protection and conservation of the longest Shivnath river in the state.
Chief Minister Raman Singh also dedicated the Atal Behari Vajpayee Memorial Government Medical College building at Rajnandgaon. The Medical College building at Pendri has been built at a cost of Rs 112 crore. The construction work of the building begun in the year 2016.
Besides an official informed that Atal Behari Vajpayee Government Medical College Rajnandgaon premises are being developed with a budget of Rs 372 crore. The Medical College building consists of four-storyed. Also, hostels for boys and girls, nurses’ quarters, Junior Doctors’ hostels and women interns’ hostels are constructed on the College premises itself. The 500-bed hospital is under construction on the premises.
Public Works Minister Rajesh Munat, Member of Parliament (Rajnandgaon) Abhishek Singh, Mayor Madhusudhan Yadav along with many other department officials were present in the event.
