Rail connectivity will prove to be a milestone in development of Bhanupratapur-says CM

Raipur: Chief Minister Raman Singh said on Saturday that the rail connectivity will prove to be a milestone in the rapid development of Bhanupratapur. The day is not far-off when railway line will connect Raoghat and Jagdalpur. Addressing a public gathering at Bhanupratapur of Kanker district as a part of Atal Vikaas Yatra, Raman Singh revealed that sanction had been accorded to lay railway lines on both sides to Durg and Jagdalpur. The pace of development will pick up soon and the youth will get employment opportunities. Chief Minister informed that the electric sub-station built at a cost of Rs 90 crore at Pakhanjur will start functioning from September 20. More than 200 villages in the area will get illuminated after this. Singh announced that about Rs 100 crores will be distributed as bonus to more than one lakh tendu patta collectors and Rs 750 crore will be given away as bonus to them in the entire state. Besides he distributed relief materials and cheques of Rs 101.55 crore to more than two lakh beneficiaries of various social welfare schemes of the State Government. CM laid the foundation stones and performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of 32 developmental works worth Rs 68.35 crores. He also sanctioned Rs 15 lakh for the installation of a statue of Amar Shaheed Veernarayan Singh and Rs 50 lakh for the beautification of a lake in the town. Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) on paddy by Rs 200 per quintal. The State Government had allocated Rs 300 per quintal as bonus and each farmer will get Rs2050 to Rs 2070 per quintal. He informed that under the Prime Minister ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’ treatment up to Rs five lakh will be given up to poor families. Chief Minister said that he was glad that 40 E-Rickshaws are being distributed on subsidies here today. He added that the State Government had transformed the lives of marginalized sections of the society by launching multiple socio-welfare schemes. Singh said that more than eleven thousand pucca houses are being built under the Prime Minister Housing Project and all the poor families will be housed in ‘pucca’ houses by the year 2022. Besides Singh performed the ‘bhoomipujan’ of construction of 18 bridges in the nearby areas of the district. He dedicated more than one crore rupees for the developmental works to build additional classrooms at Bhanupratapur Government Graduate College.
